Three sets of enamelled dishes
Meiji era
The first a set of three graduated octagonal Imari deep dishes each painted with stylised floral roundel within enamelled band of buckets and vegetables, diaper patterns and scrolling flowering vines to rim, largest 23.7cm diameter,; the second a set of four Au Kutani gently lobed dishes each enamelled all over with a butterfly over paulownia flowers on yellow patterned ground, brocade mark, 18.5cm diameter,; and a set of five straight-sided octagonal dishes raised on tripod feet, each dish decorated with a pair of ho-o birds (phoenix) with abstract foliate designs to corners.
