A brown-lacquered nanmu altar table

Qing Dynasty
The rectangular top with 'floating' panel over a waist carved and pierced with scrolling lotus design, the apron carved and pierced with archaistic dragons flanking a central bat leading to similarly carved side corbels of scroll design, the square-form supports to the front ending in feet carved as Buddhist lions.
