A camphor wood-lined huanghuali chest
Qing Dynasty
The rectangular top with inset wood panel carved in relief with three shou characters and flanked by side panels carved with bats, the front with three further shou characters, side panels with a single shou motif, the reverse panel carved with a pair of bats, all raised on mask and tongue supports ending in ball and claw feet, opening to reveal a camphor interior including a tray slide.
