An export ivory and paper 'Thousand Faces' fan in lacquer box

The guards sticks each deeply carved with figures among buildings and trees between a pair of putti and register of flowers, the wands carved and pierced with a continuous figural scene, the double-sided fan painted with courtly figures with applied silk robes and ivory faces.
Guard sticks 28cm long, and in black and gold lacquer box (2).
