A .45-60 'Model 1876' lever-action rifle by Winchester, no. 36081 (dated 1884)
The 'Third Model' receiver with integral dust cover, plain, retaining traces of original finish, the top tang drilled and tapped for a sight and stamped Model 1876, the left side of lower tang stamped with assembly number "232", matching assembly number is found in the top tang channel of buttstock and inside of butt-plate, the butt with steel butt-plate and brass trap, the forend with steel cap, the octagonal barrel stamped Winchester's-Repeating-Arms.
