Plain receiver, retaining much blued finish, with Lyman's receiver-sight stamped Pat. June 25. 95, the hammer and lever with some hardening-colour, the top tang drilled and tapped for a sight and stamped Winchester Model 1894. Trade Mark, the figured stock with pistol grip, pistolgrip-cap and crescent steel butt-plate with some hardening-colour, the forend with blued steel cap, the half-octagonal barrel engraved Manufactured By The Winchester Repeating Arms Co. New Haven. Conn. U.S.A. Patented August 21. 1894., with half-length magazine-tube, Lyman bead foresight and two folding leaf Winchester Express rear-sight
