The toplevers, ribs and forends numbered '1' and '2' in gold, best bold foliate-scroll engraving, hand-detachable lockplates inset with gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, some hardening-colour, rolled-edge trigger-guards, well-figured stocks (shortened) with recoil-pads, the chopper-lump barrels, (No. 1 replacements by the makers) engraved Holland & Holland, 33 Bruton Street, London (No. 1) and Holland & Holland, 98 New Bond Street, London (No. 2), with self-opening compressors and game-ribs

The makers have kindly confirmed that the guns were completed in 1927 and that they rebarrelled the No. 1 gun in 1982.
