Action patent use No. 919, the left side of the action engraved George Gibbs, best foliate-scroll engraving, some hardening-colour, the figured stock with pistolgrip, engraved pistolgrip-cap and trap, steel chequered butt-plate, escutcheon with the coronet of the Earl of Durham, sling-eyes, the barrel with block-mounted bead-foresight and block-mounted fixed sights for 100 yards and folding leaf-sights for 200, 300, 400 and 500 yards

The makers have kindly confirmed that the rifle was completed circa 1902-1905

Provenance:
The vendor informs us this gun was given to Ms Letty Lind by the 3rd Earl of Durham, and thence by descent. Ms Letty Lind was a famous English actress, dancer and stage personality.
