A Pair Of Flintlock Officer's Pistols Of Carbine Bore
Signed Cuff, London, Circa 1820

With twist octagonal sighted barrels each indistinctly engraved 'London' along the top flat and stamped 'Stubbs Twisted' along the bottom flat, platinum-lined touch-holes, foliate engraved tangs with back-sights, signed border engraved flat locks each decorated with a starburst behind the semi-rainproof pan, engraved safety-catches and cocks (one an old replacement), and rollers, figured full stocks (old bruising) with chequered rounded butts, trigger-guards each decorated with a shield and foliage on the border engraved bow, vacant silver escutcheons, and stirrup ramrods (some rust patination), Birmingham proof marks (2)
