A Cased 54-Bore Percussion Beaumont-Adams Patent Double-Action Revolver
No. B9875. And 25, 538. R., Mid-19th Century

With blued octagonal sighted barrel, top-strap, serial numbered cylinder and border engraved frame, blued safety-stop, arbor-pin, rammer and trigger, russet trigger-guard and ovoidal butt-cap, chequered figured rounded butt, and much original blueing (scattered surface rust overall): in original lined and fitted oak case with accessories including James Dixon & Sons powder-flask (minor dents, cut-off spring incomplete) retaining most of its original lacquered finish and with split-ring for suspension, and brass bullet mould, the exterior of the lid with circular vacant brass escutcheon, London proof marks and London Armoury mark
