A 90-Bore Percussion Transitional Gas-Sealed Six-Shot Revolver
By J. Lang, 22 Cockspur St., London, Mid-19th Century

With octagonal sighted polygrooved rifled barrel engraved around the muzzle, signed along the top flat and retaining some original blueing, rounded cylinder numbered from '1' to '6' at the front between the chambers, border engraved frame decorated with foliate scrollwork, hammer with chequered spur and trigger-guard decorated en suite, stepped ovoidal butt-cap with hinged circular butt-trap cover engraved with a flower-head, chequered figured rounded butt, and vacant silver escutcheon (surface rust patination and areas of pitting), London proof marks
