A 60-Bore Percussion Six-Shot Pepperbox Revolver
By Chas. Piper, Cambridge, Circa 1850

With fluted barrels engraved around the muzzles and retaining traces of original case-hardening, case-hardened action engraved with scrolling foliage and signed within an oval on one side, foliate engraved case-hardened bar-hammer with thumbpiece safety-catch, border engraved blued trigger-guard decorated with foliate scrollwork, case-hardened rounded butt-cap with hinged circular butt-trap cover engraved with scrolling foliage, finely chequered rounded butt, vacant silver escutcheon, and much original finish, Birmingham proof marks
