A Rare Giffard 1872 Patent Breech-Loading Gas Gun Of Minute Bore
No. 6314, Late 19th Century

With blued sighted barrel with obscured manufacturer's details 'Manufacture Francais D'Armes Et Cycles De St. Etienne' along the top in front of the adjustable back-sight, the breech stamped 'Acier' on one side and 'Cal.4.3', blued foliate engraved action with manufacturer's logo in front of the loading port, threaded gas cylinder mounted beneath the barrel, butt with chequered grip and dark hard-rubber butt-plate, engraved trigger-guard, adjustable trigger, and later leather sling (some surface rust patination)
