A Rare Continental 10.4MM (Italian) Centre-Fire Rifled Pocket Pistol
Late 19th Century, Probably Italian

With sighted barrel pivoting down to the right for loading, engraved with foliage around the fore-sight and on the part octagonal breech, and rifled with five grooves, spring locking-catch and sliding cartridge-extractor on the left, the latter engraved with a flower-head on the tip, hinged plunger-type trigger, foliate engraved butt with ovoidal pommel and chiselled foliate extension, and rounded ivory grips (minor chips, the left one with old split)
