A Continental European Pot
Mid-Late 17th Century

Of russet iron, with two-piece hemispherical ribbed skull between incised lines and surmounted by a pierced finial on two star-shaped washers, rounded integral peak with recessed turned edge (incomplete at the front, bar-nasal missing), bluntly pointed neck-guard of simulated lames with recessed turned edges, and domed rivets overall (rust patinated overall)
