A Brass-Mounted Cowhorn Powder-Flask, And A Brass Gang Mould
The First Late 18th Century, The Second 19th Century

The first with bevelled body made in two pieces, the front cut with initials 'A.S.', a pair of dividers and set square between thistles and above 'AVDI VIDE TACE', and with a three-masted ship, all between chipwork borders, and on the other with a Scottish castle above a lion rampant between thistles above the dated '1875', all between borders en suite, and reeded brass mounts (adjustable nozzle later); the second hinged together and made for casting six spherical bullets, and with hinged steel sprue-cutter stamped 'No. 105' (2)
17cm. and 22 cm.
