A Brass-Hilted Kilij In Ottoman style, And A Balinese Kris

The first with heavy curved blade (pitted) double-edged on the point and flat along the back, both sides etched with foliage and a cartouche-shaped panel containing pseudo Arabic inscriptions, hilt with downcurved monster-head quillons, and eagle-head pommel set with faceted red glass eyes; the second with earlier waved tapering double-edged blade (pitted), and bone grip carved in the round as a seated priest (pedanda), in its bone-mounted scabbard including sarongan carved overall in low relief with demons, seated priests, birds and foliage, the aluminium pendaq (one strap missing) embossed and chased with foliage (2)
