A Rare Sino-Tibetan Or Mongolian Quiver
19th Century

Of shaped outline and formed of three pieces of light brown leather tooled with cross hatching and secured by nails, those on the outside with cast brass flower-heads, the outer side and crossed straps with cast brass mounts comprising a chased vase of flowers, central quatrefoil pierced and chased with foliage, roundels each pierced with foliage inhabited by a dragon brass, and bats, stitched leather borders, and three leather arrow-holders on brass hinges at the back, two suspension rings, and retaining its folded felt liner
