With long octagonal sighted barrel retained by three steel barrel bands and a silver barrel band embossed with foliage, brass back-sight, brass-covered tang engraved with foliage, large characteristic lock set with silver panels chased with foliage, the mount over the mainspring also set with three red corals (corallium rubrum), and with maker's name 'Ali' in thuluth along the bottom edge, dog-catch engaging with the back of the cock en suite, hardwood three-quarter stock (minor old splits) inlaid with pierced and engraved foliate silver panels (some incomplete, two missing), triangular butt en suite and engraved 'The work of Amal Muhammed al Sharifi' in thuluth on a panel behind the tang, ivory side-nail washers and butt-plate, and brass baluster trigger (ramrod missing)
