An Ottoman Helmet, And A Turkish Breast-Plate (Krug)
The First Late 15th/Early 16th Century Or Later, The Second Late 15th/Early 16th Century

The first with cone-shaped one-piece skull (surface pitting and small old repairs) rising up to a separate bud-shaped finial pierced with a hole, later adjustable nasal with wing-headed screw, and associated camail of riveted rings; the second comprising a circular central plate and five smaller shaped plates (one broken) attached to it by riveted and solid iron rings (some losses), the main plate with flat central boss bordered by radiating flutes and incised with the Ottoman arsenal mark (tanğa) of St. Irene (some pitting overall) (2)
