A Pair Of Indian Dastana With Gold Koftgari Decoration
Late 19th Century

Of steel, the main plates shaped to the fore-arm and each with gilt embossed oval, decorated overall with designs of flowering gold foliage partly within cartouches and originally against a blued ground, hinged wrist-plates secured by pins and riveted reinforcing border plates en suite, the latter with cusped inner edges, retaining their red velvet liners (one slightly torn) with green fabric trim, mail hand-defences of small butted steel and brass rings forming a diaper pattern, and in fine condition (2)
50 cm.
