A Rare Indian Sosunpattah
Dated 1290 A.H. Corresponding To 1873 A.D.

With single-edged finely watered wootz steel blade of recurved yataghan form gold-damascened with an oblong cartouche containing the date and a proverb in Arabic script towards the forte on one side, the forte on both sides chiselled in low relief with shaped panels of gilt flowering foliage, the back of the blade with medial ridge over its entire length and with gold-damascened running arabesques at the forte, and steel hilt of tulwar form gold-damascened overall with a repeated design of chased flowering foliage
