The First Probably Reign Of Abduhamid II (1876-1909 A.D.), The Second With Beni Suef Silver Marks, Early 20th Century

The first with slender curved finely watered blade (some pitting) fullered over most of its length on each side and damascened with gold foliate at the yelman, the forte retaining some gold-damascened decoration, the hilt cast and chased in relief with flowering foliage including a star within a wreath on both sides of the downscrolled quillons, in original scabbard covered in black leather with wire seam along the inside and silver locket, chape and suspension mounts (one broken) en suite with the hilt, the last each carrying a ring stamped with Turkish silver marks; the second with bright curved fullered blade with etched decoration on both sides of the forte, hilt comprising downscrolled foliate quillons, grip-strap chased with foliage, and rounded ivory grips (old splits), in original scabbard similar to the last with border engraved silver mounts, and two rings for suspension (3)
