Second Quarter Of The 16th Century
Of steel blackened on the inside, each with slightly pointed flared boxed cuff made in two pieces with line engraved recessed border and turned and roped edge, the latter followed by a line of dome headed rivets retaining the remains of a leather lining glove on the inside, a small boss over each ulna, metal carpal and finger defences of six and five articulated plates respectively, the end finger plates matching the cuffs, embossed and roped knuckle-plates, and hinged thumb-defences of four plates each (some rust patination and areas of pitting) (2)
