The blade with one mekugi-ana, notare-midare hamon, itame hada, the bare tsuka with shakudo-nanako fuchi and kabuto-gané with gilt borders, and rounded square iron tsuba decorated with a heron in a landscape, soft metal details, in its faded gold nashiji lacquered saya decorated with rain dragons in black lacquer and with mounts en suite with the tsuka
