An Italian All-Metal Powder-Flask
Early 17th Century

With steel triangular body of plano-convex section applied on the outside with a scrolled bronze cartouche centred on a satyr's mask, reeded brass borders pierced with arcading between small dotted circles, hinged top (securing screw missing) with seamed nozzle cut with fluting on the outside, notched cut-off lever acting against a lightly engraved spring and with baluster finial, steel belt hook, and four suspension rings each on a cast bronze satyr's mask (some pitting overall)
