In excavated condition blackened overall, with broad tapering double-edged blade with central fuller over most of its length on each side, and extending slightly into the tang, the fuller on each side of the forte with copper-inlaid cross potent, hilt comprising quillons of rectangular section slightly tapering to the tips, flat tapering tang, and large Brazil-nut pommel
