Late 16th/Early 17th Century
With broad waved double-edged blade (old surface rust) of flattened diamond section incised on one side with an heraldic shield and on the other with an orb and cross, the latter retaining some of its latten inlay, long ricasso with down pointed side-lugs, russet iron hilt retaining traces of blackened finish and comprising large flat side-rings each swelling at the centre, arched quillons with disc-shaped terminals, large compressed globular pommel with button, and swelling leather-covered grip of circular section (some surface loss and very minor worming)
