With tapering blade (worn and rust patinated) of hollow triangular section retaining traces of etched decoration on one side at the forte, hilt cast and chased in low relief with maritime scenes, Classical figures and masks, and grip bound with twisted silver wire; together with a pillow- or scarf-sword, late 17th century, with tapering russet blade, hilt comprising brass quillon-block cast and chased with the profile bust of a Roman emperor on each side between eagle-head quillons, and cushion-shaped pommel en suite (grip missing, worn overall) (2)
