The first with sharply tapering blade of hollow triangular section retaining traces of blueing and gilding at the forte, hilt comprising oval shell-guard with pierced border, faceted quillon-block with arms and lobed rear quillon, slender faceted knuckle-guard (repaired), faceted ovoidal pommel, and faceted grip; the second with similar blade (rust patinated), hilt with flat ovoidal guard with beaded border, and grip bound with twisted silver wire (2)
