Late 16th/Early 17th Century
Of iron, with hammer-head of tapering circular section encircled by a band of incised lines, and balanced by a beak-shaped fluke en suite, becoming diamond section and incised with pairs of lines, vertically-fluted block-shaped socket (belt hook missing) surmounted by a button en suite, slender haft of circular section becoming slightly flared octagonal section at the base, and later swelling wire-bound grip (some rust patination overall)
