Four British Service Swords
Mostly 19th Century

Comprising an 1822 pattern infantry officer's sword, the blade with etched decoration and retailer's details (worn), and regulation brass hilt (worn, fish-skin incomplete), in its brass scabbard with two suspension rings; an 1821 pattern officer's sword with pipe-back blade, and regulation steel hilt (rust patinated overall, fish-skin incomplete); an 1827 pattern naval officer's sword (blade pitted) with regulation gilt-brass hilt (folding inner-guard missing, fish-skin incomplete, worn overall); a George VI 1897 pattern infantry officer's sword, now with plated blade and regulation hilt, in its field service scabbard (damage and incomplete) with leather frog and suspension straps; together with a decorative cast-iron cannon cast with raised mouldings and bell-shaped muzzle, and three other items including a pair of carriage trucks (8)
