Often considered the most aesthetically pleasing of all fossils found in the famous Green River Formation, palm fronds are considered rare finds, as the delicate cellulose of the original plant decays rapidly before fossilization can occur. Presented with four fossil fish, the present specimen is a gorgeous partial palm frond from the 51-million-year-old Eocene sediments of Southwestern Wyoming.
