Beautiful Dinosaur Claw
Suchimimus maroccanns
Cretaceous
Kem Kem Valley, Taouz, Morocco
Superb quality and excellent color recommend this dinosaur claw from a Suchimimus, also known as a Spinosaurus. Made famous in Jurassic Park II, the gigantic dinosaur species was seen killing a tyrannosaur larger than T. rex. This genus of theropod dinosaur, known for its sail-like back structure with long spines, lived in what now is North Africa, during the Upper Albian to Upper Turonian stages of the Cretaceous Period, approximately 112 - 93.5 million years ago. Theropod claws are even more rare than theropod teeth. The present claw is an inarguably covetable specimen. Measuring 7 ½in
