Diplodocus was a sauropod (long-necked dinosaur) with a long, whip-like tail, fossils of which were first discovered in 1877 by S.W. Williston. This complete 150-million-year-old claw was found in the Morrison Formation on a private ranch in Colorado. Diplodocus claws are rarely found.
