Tajikistan's ruby deposits formed as a part of the collision between the Indian subcontinent and the Asian mainland, in a fashion similar to the deposits of rubies found in Burma, Vietnam and Afghanistan. Fine specimens are extremely rare: the present stone is a bright, luminous red which presents well by day or evening. Weighing approximately 2.56 carats and measuring 9.19 x 7.19 x 4.27 mm.

Accompanied by a Lotus Gemology report number 3678-0236 dated September 11, 2017 stating that the 2.56 crats ruby shows no indications of heating/treament and that it originates from Tajikistan.
