A fine display piece specimen is double-sided and double-terminated, formed of a string of smoky quartz crystals in a stepped formation. Its surface texture that is likened to crocodile scales by natives of the Minas Gerais mining region. This feature is termed Pele de Jacaré which in Portuguese means "crocodile skin".
