Ametrine
Anahi Mine, Santa Cruz Department, Bolivia
Bi-color yellow and purple quartz—known as ametrine—is a naturally occurring variety of quartz and is a mixture of amethyst and citrine with zones of purple and yellow. Almost all commercially available ametrine is mined in Bolivia. Occasionally seen in the jewelry world as faceted gemstones, it rarely makes its way to the market in its original crystal form. This striking, well-terminated example is notable for its rich color zoning from violet to golden yellow. Weighing 795 grams; Measuring 7 x 3 x 2 3/4 in
