Photojournalist Jason Lauré covered the 1969 Woodstock Festival in both colour and black and white, capturing both the intimacy of the festival crowds as well as the performers. For the 40th Anniversary of the festival many of these photos were published in Woodstock, Three Days That Rocked the World. In light of the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock 1969, his forthcoming book Woodstock 1969: The Lasting Impact of the Counter Culture will be published next year. Lauré has since been nominated for or awarded, the Pulitzer Prize for Photography, a Neiman Fellowship, and the National Book Award.
