A Medieval Sword Of Oakeshott Type XI
11th/12th Century

In excavated condition, with heavy broad tapering double-edged blade with shallow central fuller over most of its length on each side, both sides at the forte incised with a cross potent, hilt comprising straight quillons of rectangular section tapering to the tips, flat rectangular tang, and rounded Brazil nut pommel
