A large Meissen ewer emblematic of Water, 2nd half 19th century

After the 18th century model by J.J. Kaendler, with a scene in low relief depicting a naval battle, flanked by figures of Neptune, a mermaid and galloping hippocampi, the base with spouting dolphins among bulrushes, 62cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue above one incised cancellation line, incised model number 320, impressed numerals (some restoration)
