A Meissen gilt-metal-mounted purple-ground rectangular snuff box, circa 1740

Each side reserved with a gilt-edged shaped quatrelobe panel painted in the manner of A.F. von Löwenfinck with chinoiserie scenes depicting children engaged in various amusing pursuits, the inside cover with a scene depicting children blowing bubbles and an adult holding a child, with a pagoda in the distance, gilt interior, the mount with a border of scrollwork a scrollwork and floral thembpiece, 5cm by 6.8cm (some wear to edge of base, two small cracks to top edge of cover)
