signed G Adams, No 60 Fleet Street, LONDON, the four brass limbs, two engraved with non-linear scales, raised on five ivory wheels, in fitted mahogany case with set of accessories, the case 30 1/2in (77.5cm) wide

The pantograph is a convenient drawing instrument for copying the outline of a drawing to make it either larger or smaller than the original. Up to twenty-fold enlargement or reduction may be obtained.
