signed G.F.Brander Aug[ustorun] Vind[elicorum] fecit, the white chamois lined fruitwood case fitted with standard Brander pattern compass microscope with turned ivory handle, a turned ivory compound monocular microscope and a brass screw-barrel microscope with turned ivory handle, and an ebony and brass mounted scioptic ball set in a mahogany shutter mount; accessories include eleven objectives, a pair of tweezers, four brass wing-nuts for fixing the shutter panel, stage mounts and a set of six specimen slides in marbled paper covered case, the case 16in (40.5cm) wide
