With broad double-edged blade (light surface rust patination) with sharply tapering point and cut with an off-set fuller along each side, waisted hilt with dark horn grip-scales, the outer scale with three silver mounts set with cabochon turquoises and red glass beads, the basal mount centred on a square carnelian painted 'Praise be to God' in nasta'liq, the pommel mount set with a cabochon carnelian centred on eight red glass beads, in original elaborate silver filigree scabbard en suite with the hilt, the carnelian at the throat incised 'Allah', 'Muhammed' and 'Ali' in naskh, and silver suspension tab set with a cabochon turquoise
