A Winchester .38-56(W.C.F.) 1886 Model Lever-Action Rifle
No. 86912, Circa 1886-1900

With octagonal sighted barrel stamped with manufacturer's details along the top flat and with the calibre at the breech, tubular magazine beneath, buckhorn back-sight with adjuster, characteristic action with tang stamped 'Model 1886', trigger tang stamped with patent dates, lever, figured butt and fore-end (minor old bruising, the former with small repair at the rear of the comb), curved steel butt-plate, and steel fore-end cap (some rust patination)
