With broad fullered single-edged blade stamped with crowned '11' on one side at the forte, iron guard (old brazed repairs) of slender bars framing shaped panels pierced with ovals and circles and drawn up to form a ring around the base of the pommel, the main panels centred on saltires, the side panels each above a 'ram's horn', and with an oval aperture for the reins, fore-guards, small scrolled wrist-guard, fluted conical pommel, and later turned wooden grip (some pitting and rust patination)
