With tapering blade double-edged towards the point and cut with a narrow fuller along the back for most of its length on each side, iron guard of flattened bars framing ovoidal panels and saltires pierced with triangles and circles, fore-guards, scrolled wrist-guard, conical pommel with flattened button, and later spirally-grooved wooden grip bound with a strand of twisted wire (some pitting and russet overall)
