With bright slightly curved fullered blade double-edged towards the point and etched along one side with owner's crest and motto, and regimental badge between 'Royal Horse Artillery' within a panel framed by foliage, and on the other with maker's name and address within foliage, and crowned 'VR' cypher within a panel framed by foliage, the ricasso on one side with circular gilt-lined maker's stamp centred on an etched star, regulation steel three-bar hilt, and wire-bound fishskin-covered grip, in its steel scabbard (some minor dents and light surface pitting) with two rings for suspension
