An 1896 Pattern Cavalry Officer's Sword
By Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London, No. 39400 For 1902

With bright very slightly curved fullered blade double-edged towards the point and etched along one side with maker's details, royal warrant arms, owner's initials and crowned 'ER VII' cypher all between panels of foliated strapwork, regulation nickel-plated honeysuckle patent solid hilt, chequered pommel and back-piece, wire-bound chequered hard-rubber grips, and retaining its leather sword-knot (one strap broken), in its leather-covered (some scuffing) field service scabbard
